Just in time for Summer, Major Lazer and Brazilian singer Anitta have released a tropical-influenced single titled “Make It Hot.” The Spanish-language track blends together Major Lazer’s dancehall-influenced sound with Middle Eastern and Latin music.
“Having the opportunity to write [and] compose another song with Major Lazer was really special,” Anitta said in a press release. “We have developed this energy that is similar to being around family and close friends when we work together…. I think it’s difficult for anyone to listen to this song and remain still.”
“Make It Hot” is the second collaboration between Major Lazer and Anitta, who linked up in 2017 alongside Brazilian star Pabllo Vittar for the international hit, “Sua Cara.”
The collab was done as part of Major Lazer’s partnership with BACARDÍ rum.
